The Vegas Golden Knights and star centre Jack Eichel have come to an agreement on an eight-year, $108 million contract extension, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger.

The extension features an average annual value of $13.5 million.

The 28-year-old American scored 28 goals and added 66 assists over 77 games with Vegas in 2024-25, his fourth season with the franchise.

Eichel is entering the final season of an eight-year, $80 million deal signed with the Buffalo Sabres ahead of the 2018-19 season.

The Sabres, who selected Eichel second overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, traded Eichel to the Golden Knights early in the 2021-22 season, making his debut with the franchise in February 2022 following back surgery.

Eichel helped the Golden Knights capture their first Stanley Cup in franchise history in 2022-23, scoring six goals and 20 assists during that playoff run.

Over 616 career games with the Sabres and Golden Knights, Eichel has tallied 239 goals and 369 assists, adding 10 goals and 33 assists over 40 career playoff games, all with the Vegas.

Eichel is a four-time All-Star.
