The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward William Karlsson to a two-year, $13.5 million contract extension on Wednesday.
The deal carries an AAV of $6.75 million.
Karlsson, 33, missed most of the regular season in 2025-26, suiting up in the first 14 games before missing the remaining 68 with a lower-body injury.
He returned in the playoffs and played in 15 games, scoring three goals with nine points as he helped the Golden Knights reach the Stanley Cup Final. Karlsson was injured in Game 5 of the Final and did not dress for Game 6 as the Carolina Hurricanes went on to win the title.
A second-round pick (53rd overall) by Anaheim in 2011, Karlsson was claimed from the Columbus Blue Jackets in the expansion draft by Vegas in 2017 and helped the franchise win the Stanley Cup in 2023.
In 753 career NHL games, the Marsta, Sweden native has scored 183 goals with 453 points, split between the Ducks, Blue Jackets and Golden Knights.
