Toronto Maple Leafs

Goaltender Joseph Woll is rejoining the Maple Leafs and will resume team activities and on-ice participation as part of his return-to-play process, the team announced Friday.

Woll has yet to play this season due to a personal matter. He was ruled out indefinitely during training camp and placed on the long-term injured reserve list, which makes him ineligible to play in a game before Nov. 1.

Woll was 27-14-1 with a 2.73 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 42 games last year, 41 of them starts.

New Jersey Devils

Goaltender Jacob Markstrom will join the Devils for practice on Saturday as he continues to work his way back from a lower-body injury, head coach Sheldon Keefe said via Amanda Stein of NHL.com.

Markstrom has not played since Oct. 13 and was originally expected to miss between two and three weeks.

He has a .845 save percentage and 3.89 goals-against average in three games so far this season.

San Jose Sharks

Defencemen John Klingberg and Nick Leddy will not play Friday night as the Sharks take on the New Jersey Devils, reports Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now.

Leddy, who is dealing with an upper-body injury, is dealing with an upper-body injury and will not play for the rest of San Jose’s road trip, which ends Sunday against the Minnesota Wild.

Klingberg (lower-body) will miss his fifth straight game. He last played on Oct. 14.

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Lightning have sent forward Scott Sabourin to the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch, reports Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times.

Sabourin has served three games of a four-game suspension for roughing Florida Panthers defenceman Aaron Ekblad earlier this month.

Washington Capitals

Forward Pierre-Luc Dubois will not play against the Blue Jackets in Columbus due to a lower-body injury.

He has been practising in a regular jersey, but will miss his fifth straight game Friday night.
