Forward Maveric Lamoureux took a nasty hit in Tuesday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Kings and went back to the locker room, according to Cole Bagley of KSL Sports.

Washington Capitals
Forward Alex Ovechkin was on the ice at the Capitals' skate Wednesday as he recovers from a lower-body injury, according to Tom Gulitti of NHL.com.
Ovechkin did not skate Sunday or Monday and as Gulitti notes, Tuesday was a day off for the entire team.
The Capitals wrap up their preseason with games Friday and Saturday and it remains to be seen if Ovechkin will play before the regular season.
He is set to enter his 22nd NHL season when the Caps begin their regular-season schedule next Friday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Forward Brady Tkachuk left Tuesday's preseason game against the Florida Panthers after the second period and did not return.
Head coach Paul Maurice told reporters after the game that Tkachuk's exit was precautionary and he could resume skating on Wednesday.
Tkachuk opened the scoring in the first period and also assisted on Aleksander Barkov's first-period goal in the Panthers' 3-2 loss.
