Winnipeg Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey skated in a regular sweater in practice on Saturday as he inches closer to a return from a wrist injury suffered on Oct. 7, TSN’s Danielle Bain reports.
Morrissey has three assists over four games this season for the Jets, who are winless in their last nine games. He was averaging over 21 minutes of ice time per game before the injury.
The Jets were 3-1 with Morrissey in the lineup in a strong start to the season, but have cratered without him - going 3-7-3 over their past 13 contests.
Morrissey scored 14 goals and finished with 55 points in 77 games with the Jets a season ago.
The Jets play their next game on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
