Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel announced a trio of injuries to the team’s blue line Wednesday, telling reporters defencemen Haydn Fleury, Neal Pionk and Colin Miller are all out week-to-week.

Blueliner Elias Salomonsson will be recalled from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose, reports TSN’s Danielle Bain, who also suggests Isaak Phillips could also see playing time.

Pionk played 20:21 in Winnipeg’s victory over the New York Islanders Tuesday night, finishing with one assist in the team’s 5-4 win. Arniel said he had been dealing with an injury and will now need time on the shelf after falling in Tuesday’s game.

Miller left Sunday’s game against the New Jersey Devils after playing just 4:14 and was placed on the injured reserve list on Monday with a lower-body injury.

Fleury has been out since Jan. 6 because of a lower-body injury.

Fleury has zero points in 17 games, Pionk has eight points in 40 games and Miller has one assist in 15 games so far this season.

Pionk is second on the Jets this season with an average of 22:47 of ice time, while Fleury is averaging 13:55, with Miller just behind him at 13:45.

Barron returns in regular sweater

Meanwhile, forward Morgan Barron was back in a regular sweater at Wednesday’s skate according to Bain after missing the past few games with an upper-body injury.

The 27-year-old has seven goals and seven assists for 14 points in 36 games so far this season. He has been out of action since Jan. 8.

The Jets enter play Wednesday last in the Central Division at 18-22-5 for 41 points in 45 games played.
