Jets place 2022 first-rounder Lambert on waivers, Leafs F Groulx clears

The Winnipeg Jets placed centre Brad Lambert on waivers Tuesday to make room for a call up from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

Lambert was the lone player made available on waivers, while Toronto Maple Leafs centre Bo Groulx cleared.

Lambert has one assist in 11 games this season with the Jets. The 22-year-old forward split time last season between the Jets and the Moose. He had three goals and six points in 25 games with the Jets and six goals and 13 points in 34 games with the Moose.

Selected 30th overall in the 2022 draft by the Jets, Lambert has three goals and nine points in 42 career NHL games.

He enjoyed his most success in the AHL in 2023-24, when he posted 21 goals and 55 points in 64 games.

The Jets, who are stuck in a nine-game winless skid, will take on the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.
