Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz exited after the first period of Tuesday’s game against the Boston Bruins with an upper-body injury.

“I don’t believe that’s serious. I think he’ll be fine,” Leafs head coach Craig Berube said after the game.

He hopes Stolarz will be available on Thursday against the Los Angeles Kings.

The team announced at the beginning of the third period that he would not return to the contest.

The 31-year-old surrendered goals to Pavel Zacha, Hampus Lindholm and Alex Steeves before he was replaced to start the second period by backup Dennis Hildeby.

Stolarz faced 10 shots and made seven saves before leaving the action with the Leafs down 3-1.

The New Jersey native was pulled in his previous start, which was also against the Bruins, after giving up four goals on 19 shots.

Stolarz has a 6-5-1 record with a 3.35 goals-against average and an .889 save percentage in 12 games this season.
