The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that forward William Nylander exited Saturday’s game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Nylander played 8:25 and had one goal before leaving the game. He was not on the Leafs bench to start the third period.

The 29-year-old led the Maple Leafs in points coming into tonight’s game with 40 in 32 games.

Nylander missed three games earlier in the season with a lower-body issue.
