The Toronto Maple Leafs placed forward Bo Groulx on waivers Monday.
The move comes after Groulx has appeared in just one of the team’s past seven games, last dressing against the Seattle Kraken last week and logging just 6:23 of ice time.
The 26-year-old centre is without a point in seven games this season. He had three goals and five points in 13 games with the Maple Leafs last season and 28 goals and 52 points in 58 games with the AHL’s Toronto Marlies.
A second-round pick of the Anaheim Ducks in 2018, Groulx is a pending unrestricted free agent carrying a cap hit of $812,500.
He has four goals and 10 points in 85 career games with the Maple Leafs and Ducks.
Groulx was not on the ice for the Maple Leafs’ practice on Monday as the team used the following lines:
Cowan-Matthews-Roslovic
Joshua-Paul-Nylander
McKenna-Sissons-Lettieri
Duhaime-Blueger-MacEwen
