Oilers sign F Raty to one-year, two-way deal

The Edmonton Oilers added some forward depth to their organization on Monday, signing Finnish winger Aku Raty to a one-year, two-way contract worth $850,000.

The 24-year-old native of Oulu, scored 20 goals and 37 assists over 51 games this season for Karpat in Finland’s Liiga, the seventh highest point total in the league.

Selected in the fifth round by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2019 Draft, Raty has one game of NHL experience during the 2023-24 season when he picked up an assist for the Coyotes.

Raty played in the American Hockey League from 2023 to 2025, producing 21 goals and 48 assists over 120 games.

Raty represented Finland at the World Junior Championship in 2020 and 2021, earning bronze in the latter.
