The Edmonton Oilers announced the signing of Connor Ungar to a one-year, two-way deal on Thursday.
The contract will pay the 24-year-old goaltender $850,000 at the NHL level.
A native of Calgary, Ungar split last season between the American Hockey League’s Bakersfield Condors and stints with three ECHL teams, the Fort Wayne Comets, Greensboro Gargoyles and Orlando Solar Bears.
At the AHL level, Ungar was 9-2-2 in 13 games with a .923 save percentage and goals against average of 2.51.
Undrafted out of the Western Hockey League’s Moose Jaw Warriors, Ungar was one of four Warriors players who received a season-ending suspension during the spring of 2023 for an “off-ice incident.”
