Team Finland revealed its 2026 men’s hockey Olympic roster on Friday, including one non-NHL player in defenceman Mikko Lehtonen.

Lehtonen, 31, has six goals and 16 points in 32 games with Zurich SC in the Swiss National League this season. He won gold with Finland at Beijing 2022.

Finland had previously named Sebastian Aho, Aleksander Barkov, Miro Heiskanen, Esa Lindell, Mikko Rantanen and Juuse Saros to its roster. Barkov, who will to miss the tournament after undergoing ACL surgery in the fall, was removed from the roster.

Vancouver Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen, Ottawa Senators defenceman Nikolas Matinpalo and Montreal Canadiens winger Oliver Kapanen were among the 20 players named to the roster Friday.

Kapanen, Seattle Kraken forward Eeli Tolvanen, Colorado Avalanche winger Joel Kiviranta and Lehtonen are new additions from the country’s 4 Nations Face-Off squad.

Urho Vaakanainen of the New York Rangers was dropped from the 4 Nations team and is the only Finnish defenceman in the NHL who was not chosen.

In 18 Olympic appearances, the defending champion Finns have won gold once and have two silvers and four bronze medals.
