The Pittsburgh Penguins have named Brandon Pridham as the team’s hockey operations consultant, it was announced Wednesday.
Pridham spent the past 12 seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, holding his most recent role as the assistant general manager from 2018 this year. He spent some of that time working alongside current Penguins president of hockey operations and GM Kyle Dubas.
Dubas served as GM of the Maple Leafs from 2018 to 2023, when the team elected not to renew his contract.
Per a press release from the Penguins organization, Pridham’s role with the team will include overseeing player contract negotiations, salary cap management and planning to ensure compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, and scheduling.
The Penguins are coming off a season in which they finished second in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 41-25-16, and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Philadelphia Flyers in six games.
