The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Tommy Novak to a three-year, $13.95 million contract extension that carries a cap hit of $4.65 million.
The contract begins in the 2027-28 season and will run through 2029-30.
The 29-year-old has one more year on his previous deal, which is set to pay him $3.5 million.
Novak recorded 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points in 82 games with the Penguins last season. He added two assists in six playoff games.
He has played 285 career NHL games with the Penguins and Nashville Predators, registering 65 goals and 159 points. His best season came in 2023-24 with Nashville, when he scored 18 goals and 45 points in 71 games.
Novak also represented Team USA at the IIHF World Championship in 2026, recording a team-high seven assists and eight points in eight games.
The St. Paul, Minn., native was selected 85th overall by the Predators in the 2015 NHL Draft.
