The New York Rangers signed Conor Sheary to a one-year, contract on Monday.

Sheary, 33, joined the Rangers on a player try-out agreement before training camp and recorded a goal and three points in four pre-season games.

The 5-foot-8 winger played last season in the Tampa Bay Lightning organization, appearing in five games with the NHL club. He added 20 goals and 61 points in 59 games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch.

He was bought out of the remaining year of his three-year, $6 million contract after the 2024-25 campaign.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2015, Sheary has 124 goals and 267 points in 593 career games split between the Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals, and Lightning.

Sheary is a two-time Stanley Cup winner after helping the Penguins win back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017.
