The New York Rangers have placed forward J.T. Miller on the injured reserve list with an upper-body injury, according to multiple reports.

ESPN’s Emily Kaplan reports it’s a new injury unrelated to the one he dealt with earlier in the season.

The 32-year-old played 19:23 in Monday night’s overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, tallying one assist and two shots on goal. Miller has two assists in three games after the Olympic break, after he helped the American team to a gold medal at Milano Cortina 2026.

Miller also missed time in late December and early January with an upper-body injury.

The 32-year-old has 14 goals and 24 assists for 38 points in 51 games so far this season, his second in New York after coming over in a deal with the Vancouver Canucks last year.
