Sens sign forward Bakke Olsen to one-year, entry-level contract

The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Eskild Bakke Olsen to a one-year, entry-level contract, it was announced Monday evening.

The undrafted centre was part of the Norwegian team that defeated Canada for the bronze medal at the IIHF Men’s World Championship last month in Switzerland. He had two goals and three assists in 10 games at the tournament.

He played with Linköping HC of the Swedish Hockey League last season and tallied 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points in 51 games. Bakke-Olsen ranked second on the team in total points.

The 6-foot, 185-pound forward spent the two previous seasons with Bofors IK in Sweden.
