The San Jose Sharks announced Thursday that they have agreed to a multi-year extension with head coach Ryan Warsofsky.
Per club policy, the terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Warsofsky is entering his third season as head coach of the Sharks. After a difficult first season in which the team finished with a league-worst 52 points in 2024-25, the Sharks made a significant jump in Warsofsky’s second season.
Bolstered by a breakout campaign by 2024 first-overall draft pick Macklin Celebrini, the Sharks improved to 39-35-8 in 2025-26, and were in the running for a playoff spot until late in the season. The 34-point jump in year-over-year results marked the largest jump of any team in the NHL last season.
Warsofsky remains the league’s youngest active head coach at just 37 years old.
