Stars’ Robertson, Zegras and Drysdale of Flyers among 15 to file for arbitration

Published:

Dallas Stars star winger Jason Robertson and the Philadelphia Flyers duo of Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale were among the 15 players who filed for salary arbitration on Sunday.

Arbitration hearings are set to be held between July 20 and Aug. 1 but a player can sign a contract any time with his current club before the scheduled hearing. Clubs have until 5 p.m. ET on Monday for team-elected salary arbitration.

Robertson, 26, is coming off a four-year, $31 million contract that carried an AAV of $7.75 million.

In 2025-26, Robertson scored 45 goals with 96 points in 82 regular-season games. In the playoffs, he had five goals and eight points in six games before the Stars were eliminated in the first round.

Before free agency opened, Robertson reportedly rejected an eight-year deal with an AAV of approximately $15 million in a sign-and-trade with the Seattle Kraken.

Zegras recorded career highs in goals (26) and points (67) last season with the Flyers, his first with the team after being traded in the 2025 season from the Anaheim Ducks.

Drysdale, 24, had eight goals and 32 points in 78 regular-season games in 2025-26 while averaging 21:33 of ice time.

Both Zegras and Drysdale are coming off three-year deals they originally signed with Anaheim before they were traded in separate deals to Philadelphia.

The other players who elected to file for salary arbitration are Kirby Dach (Montreal Canadiens), Cole Perfetti (Winnipeg Jets), Peyton Krebs (Buffalo Sabres), Ronan Seeley (Carolina Hurricanes), Jet Greaves and Cole Sillinger (Columbus Blue Jackets), Akira Schmid (Florida Panthers), Braden Schneider (New York Rangers), Alex Jefferies (New York Islanders), Xavier Bourgault (Ottawa Senators), Nick Robertson (Pittsburgh Penguins) and Connor McMichael (St. Louis Blues).

Robertson, McMichael and Schmid were all traded this off-season to their current teams before signing new deals.

Dach is one of three restricted free agents for the Canadiens, alongside forward Zack Bolduc (not arbitration eligible) and defenceman Arber Xhekaj (did not file).

Dach had eight goals and 15 points in 37 games, adding four goals and one assist in 19 postseason games.

Since joining the Canadiens in July of 2022, Dach has played just 154 out of a possible 328 regular-season games due to various injuries.

Perfetti, one of the youngest players on the Jets roster, had 12 goals and 32 points in 68 regular-season games last season.
