The Dallas Stars have signed forward Sam Steel to a four-year contract extension on Monday.
The deal carries an AAV of $3.7 million and kicks in for the 2027-28 season.
Steel, 28, had a career season in 2025-26, scoring 12 goals with 33 points in 73 games. He did not record a point in six playoff games.
Drafted in the first round (30th overall) by Anaheim in 2016, Steel made his NHL debut with the Ducks on Oct. 3, 2018 against the San Jose Sharks.
He is in the final season of a two-year, $4.2 million contract.
The Ardrossan, Alta., native has skated in 491 career NHL games, scoring 61 goals with 175 points, split between the Ducks, Minnesota Wild and Stars.
