Jeff Skinner will be continuing his career in Switzerland with EHC Biel-Bienne, the team announced Friday.
It is a one-year contract for Skinner, who went unsigned after becoming an unrestricted free agent in February.
The 34-year-old forward began last season with the San Jose Sharks after signing a one-year, $3 million deal. He recorded six goals and 13 points in 32 games with the Sharks before he cleared unconditional waivers on Feb. 17.
Drafted seventh overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in 2010, Skinner has 379 goals and 712 points in 1,110 career games split between the Hurricanes, Buffalo Sabres, Edmonton Oilers, and Sharks.
Skinner recorded 16 goals and 29 points in 72 games with the Oilers in 2024-25, helping the team to their second of back-to-back Stanley Cup Final appearances.
The Toronto native has represented Canada four times at the World Hockey Championship, taking home a silver medal in 2017.
