The Minnesota Wild have placed forwards Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek on the injured reserve Friday afternoon.

The team also recalled forwards Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Hunter Haight as well as defenceman David Jiricek from the AHL’s Iowa Wild. Defenceman Carson Lambos was re-assigned to the AHL.

Boldy is currently dealing with a lower-body injury. He played in Thursday’s 6-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets, notching one assist in 19:16 of ice time.

The 24-year-old winger has 24 goals and 51 points in 48 games this season.

Eriksson Ek, 28, is also on the IR with a lower-body injury. He has missed the last three games for the Wild, last appearing on Jan. 8 against the Seattle Kraken. He played just 7:48 in the 3-2 win.

He has 11 goals and 32 points in 45 games this season.

The Wild next play Saturday afternoon against the Buffalo Sabres.
