The Minnesota Wild have signed forward Bobby Brink to a one-year, $2.75 million contract, it was announced Tuesday afternoon on the eve of free agency.
Brink was originally scheduled to hit unrestricted free agency on Wednesday.
Brink, 24, finished last season with the Wild after being acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers on March 6 in exchange for defenceman David Jiricek.
The 5-foot-8 winger recorded 15 goals and 30 points in 68 games last season split between the Flyers and Wild and added an assist in four playoff games before the Wild were eliminated in the second round.
He is coming off a two-year, $3 million contract that carried a cap hit of $1.5 million and became an unrestricted free agent after he wasn’t not given a qualifying offer.
Drafted 34th overall by the Flyers in 2019, Brink has 38 goals and 98 points in 214 games split between the Flyers and Wild
The Minnetonka, Minn., native represented the United States twice at the World Juniors, taking home a gold medal in 2021.
