The Edmonton Oilers are still in the process of choosing their next general manager as TSN Edmonton Bureau reporter Ryan Rishaug reports that CEO Bob Nicholson’s list is down to three or four candidates.
The process continues for Nicholson, the list is down to 3 or 4 at this point. Hunter and McCrimmon likely still in the mix, as is Sean Burke. Burke is an interesting option, known to be extremely well prepared and very thorough. Dark horse candidate we don’t hear a lot about.

Likely still in the mix for the GM position in Edmonton are London Knights general manager Mark Hunter, current Vegas Golden Knights assistant general manager Kelly McCrimmon and Montreal Canadiens pro scout Sean Burke, who was also a GM for Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
The Oilers fired general manager Peter Chiarelli in January and replaced him with Keith Gretzky on an interim basis.
