NHL: Mammoth 4, Golden Knights 5 (2OT)

Brett Howden scored a shorthanded goal at 5:28 of the second overtime to give Vegas a victory over the Mammoth and put the Golden Knights one victory away from winning the first-round series. Pavel Dorofeyev's six-on-five goal with less than a minute left in regulation forced overtime and gave him the sixth playoff hat trick in franchise history. VGK leads series 3-2.


NHL: Penguins 0, Flyers 1 (OT)

Cam York buried the winner 17:32 into overtime and chucked his stick into the crowd in a wild celebration to send the Flyers into the second round for the first time in six years with a Game 6 win over the Penguins on Wednesday night. PHI wins series 4-2.


NHL: Canadiens 3, Lightning 2

Alexandre Texier broke a tie 1:06 into the third period and the Canadiens edged the Lightning on Wednesday night to move within a victory of advancing to the second round. Brendan Gallagher netted his first goal in his first game of the series and Kirby Dach also scored for the Habs. MTL leads series 3-2.


Will St. Louis break up Canadiens' top line in Game 5?

With his top line struggling to generate offence so far in the series, could Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis break up that top unit to try and get things going? St. Louis on Gallagher: 'If he plays he's going to give you everything he has'

Veteran forward Brendan Gallagher has been a healthy scratch for the first four games of the series for the Canadiens and head coach Martin St. Louis did not confirm whether or not the 33-year old winger would enter the line up for Game 5 but says if he does he will give you everything he has. Zack Bolduc explains the importance of Gallagher on and off the ice to help give his team that extra bit of motivation and guidance.
