Czechia forward Radek Faksa will not play in Wednesday’s quarter-final matchup against Canada, according to Czech reporter Robert Rampa.

Faksa did not play in Czechia’s 3-2 qualification round victory over Denmark on Tuesday due to an upper-body injury.

He was injured during the team’s preliminary round finale against Switzerland on Sunday, playing 8:51 spread out over 13 shifts before departing.

The Dallas Stars centre has two goals and 15 assists for 17 points in 56 games so far this season. He’s spent 10 of his 11 NHL seasons with the Stars.

He has two assists in three Olympic games with Czechia.
