The Ottawa Charge have the chance to clinch the fourth and final playoff spot in the PWHL tonight as they take on the Boston Fleet on TSN.

With the New York Sirens, Vancouver Goldeneyes and Seattle Torrent already eliminated, the Toronto Sceptres are the only other team in contention, but they squandered their opportunity Tuesday night with a 1-0 overtime loss to the Sirens.

The Charge have 39 points with two games remaining while the Sceptres are one point behind with one game left on their schedule. The Fleet, Montreal Victoire and Minnesota Frost all clinched their playoff spots in recent weeks.

Despite starting the month with three straight losses, the Charge have rebounded with two consecutive wins.

They picked up a key 2-0 win over Toronto on Apr. 11 as goaltender Gwyneth Philips made 42 saves for the shutout and Brianne Jenner and Sarah Wozniewicz chipping in with third-period goals.

In their last outing on Saturday against New York, the Charge went down 1-0 in the first period before roaring back with five unanswered goals with Jenner recording a three-point game.

The Charge entered last year’s playoff run as the third seed and led by the play of Philips, upset the Victoire in the semifinals and advanced to the final before losing to the two-time reigning champion Frost.

For Boston, first place in the PWHL remains up for grabs.

The Fleet sit two points back of Montreal for the top spot in the standings, but Boston has two games in hand heading into tonight’s action.

Boston is 2-2 in the month of April, losing both games to the Victoire.

Ottawa has the edge over Boston in the season series, two games to one, with all three contests decided by one goal.

The Charge took the first two games but in their last game on Feb. 28, the Fleet skated away with a 3-2 shootout victory as Alina Muller and Hannah Brandt beat Philips for the victory.

Frost vs. Torrent

The Frost look to finish off their season on a strong note while the Torrent are playing for the first-overall pick.

Watch Frost vs. Torrent LIVE at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on TSN5 and streaming on TSN.ca and the TSN App.

The PWHL’s Gold Plan will determine who gets the first pick in the 2026 PWHL Draft. When a team is officially eliminated from playoff contention, the points earned in their remaining regular-season games are classified as Gold Plan points and the team with the most at the end of the campaign will get the top selection.

The Torrent are two points back of the Goldeneyes in that race, who have three points after being eliminated on Apr. 18.

Minnesota is locked into third place heading into the playoffs as they prepare to defend their Walter Cup title.
