The Boston Fleet acquired forward forward Jessie Eldridge from the Seattle Torrent on Monday in exchange for forward Theresa Schafzahl.
Eldridge, 28, has seven goals and 13 points in 19 games with the Torrent this season.
The 5-foot-9 forward was drafted sixth overall in the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft from the New York Sirens as part of the Torrent’s inaugural roster,
Drafted 16th overall by the Sirens in the first PWHL Draft in 2023, Eldridge has 23 goals and 51 points in 73 career games split between the Sirens and Torrent.
The Barrie, Ont., native also represented Canada the 2022 Women’s World Hockey Championship, taking home a gold medal.
Eldridge joins a Fleet team that sits at the top of the PWHL standings with a 14-3-2 record and are three points ahead of the Minnesota Frost and Montreal Victoire entering Monday’s action.

She has a high hockey IQ and is a dual threat, capable of making key plays and creating scoring opportunities. We’re excited about the offensive instincts and competitiveness she brings to our lineup.”
Eldridge is expected to make her debut with Boston on Tuesday against the Toronto Sceptres
The Torrent are acquiring Schafzahl, who has two goals and six points in 19 games this season.
The 5-foot-8 winger was drafted 39th overall by the Fleet in the inaugural PWHL Draft in 2023 and has eight goals and 17 points in 69 career games.
“It’s never easy to part ways with a player, especially someone like Theresa,” said Marmer. “[She] has been with us since our inaugural draft and scored the first goal in team history. She’s been an important part of our group both on and off the ice and we’re grateful for everything she’s contributed to our organization. We wish her nothing but the best as she continues her career in Seattle.”
Schafzahl, 25, represents Austria on the international stage appearing five times at the Women’s World Hockey Championships.
She is also the University of Vermont’s all-time scoring leader, recording 71 goals and 145 points in 148 career NCAA games.
