The Vancouver Goldeneyes have signed forward Malia Schneider to a standard player agreement on Friday.
The move comes after the team placed forward Sarah Nurse on long-term injury reserve after only one game this season while she’s dealing with an upper-body injury.

Nurse, 30, was one of the first players signed by Vancouver after the Toronto Sceptres left her unprotected in the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft.
She scored the first goal in franchise history during the team’s 4-3 overtime win against expansion cousin Seattle Torrent.
The 5-foot-7 forward recorded six goals and 14 points in 21 games in Toronto last season.
Schneider, 27, played the majority of last season with SDE Hockey of the Swedish Women’s Hockey League, recording 10 goals and 17 points in 34 games.
She previously appeared in two games with PWHL Ottawa during the 2024 inaugural season.
