The Toronto Sceptres announced the signing of forward Kristin Della Rovere to a standard player agreement on Wednesday. Forward Clair DeGeorge was released in a corresponding move.

A 25-year-old native of Caledon, Ont., Della Rovere was signed to a reserve contract by the Sceptres out of training camp. Originally taken with the 56th overall pick of the 2023 PWHL Draft out of Harvard by the Ottawa Charge, Della Rovere had a goal in nine games for the team during the 2024 season before sustaining a wrist injury that prematurely ended her season.

Della Rovere then spent the 2024-2025 season in Italy with EVB Eagles as a means to become a naturalized citizen to qualify to play in the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics. She had two goals and two assists in Italy’s five tournament games.

DeGeorge, 26, was in her first season with the Sceptres after having previously suited up for the Montreal Victoire and Minnesota Frost. The Anchorage, AK native skated in 17 games for Toronto this season. After her release, DeGeorge signed with the New York Sirens with Taylor Girard headed to long-term injured reserve.

The Sceptres have won four of their six games since returning from the Olympic break and have not lost in regulation. They currently sit in fourth place on 31 points. They return to action on Mar. 27 with a visit from the Boston Fleet.
