The Seattle Torrent have re-signed forward Alex Carpenter to a three-year contract on Tuesday afternoon.

With the signing, she is one of Seattle’s three protected players ahead of the expansion draft.

Carpenter led the Torrent in goals last season with 12 and tied with Julia Gosling for the team lead in points with 20 in 30 games.

The 32-year-old joined Seattle for their inaugural season after two years with the New York Sirens.

In 80 PWHL games, Carpenter has scored 31 goals with 63 points split between Seattle and New York.

She also helped the United States win the gold medal at Milano Cortina 2026 as she scored three goals with six points in the tournament. She previously won Olympic silver medals in 2014 and 2022.
