VANCOUVER - The bad news is Quinn Hughes didn't practice on Tuesday. The good news is that Quinn Hughes took to the ice on his own after practice, so he was seen on skates at Rogers Arena.
Hughes, Tyler Myers and Jay Beagle were all absent from practice and, given the time of year, Travis Green would only say all three are 'banged up -- day to day.' So their status for Wednesday's key divisional game against Arizona remains up in the air.=
The Canucks had five healthy defensemen take part in the team workout: Alex Edler, Chris Tanev, Troy Stecher, Jordie Benn and Oscar Fantenberg.
Both Guillaume Brisebois and Jalen Chatfield have been recalled from Utica on an emergency basis, but neither had arrived in time for Tuesday's skate.
Ten of the Canucks final 17 games are on home ice including the next four: Arizona, Colorado, Columbus & NY Islanders.
Lines at practice:
Miller-Pettersson-Toffoli
Pearson-Horvat-Virtanen
Roussel-Gaudette-MacEwen
Eriksson-Sutter-Motte
The five defensemen rotated through drills so it was impossible to read into any of the pairings without Hughes and Myers.
