Mo Salah’s career will continue in Turkiye.
Ben Jacobs reports the Liverpool icon is set to join Trabzonspor on a two-year deal.
Salah, 34, left Anfield after nine seasons this past spring. During his time with the Reds, he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup and the 2019 Champions League crown. Making 315 league appearances for the Reds, Salah notched 191 goals. Combined with the two goals he scored at Chelsea, Salah’s 193 Premier League goals are fourth all-time behind only Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213) and Wayne Rooney (208).
Internationally, Salah, who has also suited up for Roma, Fiorentina and Basel, has been capped 121 times by Egypt, scoring 68 times. He appeared in all five of Egypt’s games at the 2026 World Cup, notching a goal and two assists. His three total World Cup goals are an Egyptian record.
Trabzonspor finished third in the Super Lig last season. They open their new season on Aug. 15 away to Kasimpasa before a Europa League play-off match against a yet-to-be-determined opponent on Aug. 20.
