Kamal Miller will replace Moise Bombito for the Canadian men’s national team’s October window, TSN’s Matthew Scianitti reports.
Bombito suffered a fractured tibia while playing for Nice in France’s Ligue 1 on Sunday, and will undergo further testing to determine a timeline for recovery from the injury.
Miller, 28, plays for the Portland Timbers in Major League Soccer. The Scarborough, Ont., native has made 49 international caps with Canada. He made caps for Canada in all three games at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 25-year-old Bombito of Montreal, Que. has made 19 international caps for Canada, and had 35 caps for Nice in club play this year.
Canada’s next match in international play is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10 against Australia, with another match against Colombia four days later.
