Toronto FC made an addition to its forward corps on Tuesday.
The team announced the signing of Colombian forward Emilio Aristizábal on loan from Atletico Nacional.
Aristizábal, 19, is the son of longtime Colombia striker Victor Aristizábal, who was part of a Copa America-winning squad in 2001.

“We are thrilled to have Emilio join us in anticipation of the 2026 season,” TFC general manager Jason Hernandez said in a release. “Emilio has established himself as one of Colombia’s top young attacking talents, and we are excited to begin our journey together. He is coming off a strong 2025 in his first full senior campaign, delivering an impressive offensive output at just 19 years old, and we look forward to his continued growth at our club.”
A native of Medellin, Aristizábal made his senior debut for Atletico in 2023. He spent last season on loan at Fortaleza CEIF, where he had 12 goals and two assists in 36 appearances.
Internationally, Aristizábal was a part of bronze medal-winning Colombia side at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
The Reds open up their 2026 campaign on Saturday night with a visit to FC Dallas.
