The wait is over.
Canada Soccer and head coach Jesse Marsch will officially unveil the team’s 26-man roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The unveiling comes after 32 players were selected to attend training camp in Charlotte, N.C., which began earlier this week. Six players from the camp roster will fall short of their World Cup dream.
Key roster questions for Marsch centre on the health of several potential contributors. Canada may already be without captain Alphonso Davies for their opening game on June 12 due to a hamstring injury, which could factor into other decisions.
Forward Promise David, wingers Ali Ahmed and Jacob Shaffelburg, and defenders Richie Laryea, Alfie Jones and Luc de Fougerolles are all coming off injuries following the club season.
In his final roster prediction, TSN’s Steven Caldwell picked all of the injured players for his Canada side, leaving off Jayden Nelson, Ralph Priso, Daniel Jebbison, Zorhan Bassong and Jaden Russell-Rowe from the camp roster.

Defender Moise Bombito provided a positive update earlier this week as he declared himself “100 per cent” and told OneSoccer’s Kristian Jack that he expects to play in Canada’s opening game against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bombito, 26, has not played since breaking his leg in a 2-2 draw with Monaco on Oct. 5.
Marsch has already set his roster at goalkeeper, naming only Maxime Crépeau, Dayne St. Clair and Owen Goodman to the training camp roster. The decision on who will be Canada’s starter remains to be made, with Crépeau and St. Clair set to split duties in Canada’s penultimate pre-tournament friendly against Uzbekistan in Edmonton on Monday. Canada will face Ireland in their final World Cup tune-up later next week in Montreal.
The CanMNT, drawn into Group B, will open their tournament on June 12 at Toronto Stadium against Bosnia and Herzegovina followed by a pair of matches in Vancouver on June 18 against Qatar and June 24 against Switzerland.
