Canada revealed its home and away FIFA World Cup kits on Monday, officially pulling back the curtain on its look for this summer’s tournament on home soil.
Canada will wear a two-tone red jersey at home and a black kit with a white pattern on the road.
The home jersey is a traditional Team Canada design, featuring a maple leaf in the centre of the jersey in two different shades of red.
The federation said the away uniform draws inspiration from frozen landscapes with a cracked ice-like pattern in white throughout the black base with a red Canada Soccer crest in the upper left corner.
“There’s a real pride in representing Canada. Our players understand the moment in front of us, including a World Cup at home and an entire country behind us. When we put this jersey on, it represents every place and every community that helped build The People’s Team. We take this responsibility seriously,” head coach Jesse Marsch said in a news release.
