Canada has never had a player in Serie A, but that could be about to change.

Fabrizio Romano reports Inter has concrete interest in Club Brugge's Tajon Buchanan.

Buchanan has a goal in 30 appearances across all competitions this season, but is currently out of action with a shin injury.

Romano notes that there is no deal in place yet between the two clubs for the 24-year-old winger from Brampton, Ont.

A product of Syracuse, Buchanan is in his second second in Belgium after completing a move from the New England Revolution where he was named in the MLS Best XI in 2021.

After winning a Belgian First Division A title in 2022, Buchanan and Club Brugge currently sit fourth in the table, trailing leaders Genk by nine points.

Internationally, Buchanan has been capped 31 times by the CanMNT and has scored four goals. He appeared in all three of Canada's games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
