Canadian midfielder Tajon Buchanan missed Villareal’s 2-1 win over Celta on Sunday for what was described as a “small knock”, reports TSN’s Matthew Scianitti.

Scianitti also added that sources say the injury is nothing major but he is considered week-to-week.
Villarreal has five games left in LaLiga’s season with Canada set to open their World Cup camp in mid-May.
Buchanan, 27, has six goals and an assist in 30 matches with Villareal, who are sitting third in the LaLiga table.
The Brampton, Ont., native is projected to be on Canada’s World Cup roster beginning on June 12.
He has 62 caps with Canada, recording eight goals
