Toronto FC have reached a deal to sign midfielder Niklas Dorsch from Germany’s Heidenheim, Fabrizio Romano reports.
According to Romano, Toronto will pay a $4.3 million transfer fee for Dorsch, who is set to ink a five-year contract with the MLS club.
Dorsch was a key player for Heidenheim last season, making 27 starts and appearing in 32 of 34 games as the team was relegated from the Bundesliga. He had one assist in Bundesliga play and added a goal and an assist in two DFB-Pokal tournament games.
The 28-year-old has four goals and three assists in 118 career Bundesliga games with Heidenheim, Augsburg and Bayern Munich.
