VANCOUVER — Vancouver Rise FC announced a sponsorship agreement with National Bank on Thursday that will feature the financial institution’s logo on the Northern Super League team’s jersey.
The bank’s logo will feature prominently across the jersey, with a smaller patch displaying the team’s logo on the upper right side of the shirt.
The patch with the team’s logo is unchanged from the Rise’s previous jersey, which did not feature a front-of-kit sponsor.
The defending NSL champion Rise will debut the branded kit Saturday against visiting Halifax at Swangard Stadium.
National Bank’s partnership with Rise continues increasing corporate investment in the domestic women’s soccer league, which is set to expand to seven teams next year with a new franchise in Winnipeg.
Apex, a sports investment firm with Formula One drivers Carlos Sainz Jr. and Lando Norris and Portuguese soccer player Diogo Dalot among its backers, announced a $30-million investment in the NSL earlier this month.
