The top two teams in each group and the third-place finisher with the most points* automatically qualify for Euro 2016. The remaining third-place teams will be grouped together in four aggregate playoffs to determine the final qualification spots.
Due to an uneven amount of teams in every group, the third-place finishers in Groups A to H will have their points against the sixth-place finisher in their group subtracted from their totals for ranking purposes.
France has automatically qualified for Euro 2016 as hosts.
