Carlos Alcaraz’s return is at hand.

The 2025 US Open champion will be back to defend his title later this month.

The former World No. 1 announced his return on Thursday after being out of action since the spring with a right wrist injury. Alcaraz, 23, did not compete at either Roland Garros or Wimbledon after winning the Australian Open. The win in Melbourne completed the career grand slam for the Spaniard, becoming the ninth man to do so and the youngest.

Since turning pro in 2018, Alcaraz has won 26 career titles. His most recent title came at the Qatar Open this past February.

The 2026 US Open is set to get underway from Flushing Meadows on Sunday.
