Milos Raonic cancelled his practice Tuesday during his day off at the US Open due to a sore back.

The Canadian advanced to the second round after defeating Tim Smyczek 6-4, 7-6 (8), 6-1 on Monday. The 10th seeded Raonic is slated to face Spain's Fernando Verdasco on Wednesday.
Raonic and Verdasco have played each other six times over their careers with each winning three matches. Raonic has won all three matches on hardcourt so far.
