First, it was J. Cole, and now “Mo Bamba” rapper Sheck Wes is pursuing his hopes of a professional basketball career with Paris Basketball of the second-tier LNB Pro B in France.

Wes has previously been open about his interest in basketball, writing on Instagram that he had declared for the 2020 NBA Draft but went undrafted. Wes grew up with Bamba — now with the Orlando Magic — in Harlem, New York, and played basketball himself through high school.

Through two games off the bench for Paris, Wes is averaging 2.0 points per game in 5.0 minutes. The Paris Basketball website lists him at 6’2 at the point guard position. His first basket came on a corner three-pointer.
