The Grammys are around the corner, celebrating the most significant and decorated releases in music last year, but for now we remain locked into the new. This week features a treasure trove of new releases in hip-hop, including a Justin Bieber collaboration with Kehlani, singles from Vince Staples and Freddie Gibbs as well as an unsuspecting Iyaz sample.

Kehlani featuring Justin Bieber - “up at night”

Kehlani links up with Canadian superstar Justin Bieber for their new single “up at night”, which will be featured off Kehlani’s upcoming third studio album, blue water road. The duo play along with some smooth vocals along with an addictive hook that pair together just as well as they did on their past collaboration “Get Me.”

Vince Staples - “ROSE STREET”

Vince Staples’ newest track, “ROSE STREET” is the latest snippet from his upcoming album Ramona Park Broke My Heart. The song isn’t too long, but Staples raps about surviving adversity over a hard bass beat from producers Tommy Parker and Saint Mino. Ramona Park Broke My Heart drops on April 8.

Freddie Gibbs featuring Rick Ross - “Ice Cream”

Indiana rapper Freddie Gibbs is back with his first new music of 2022, teaming up with Rick Ross for a track called “Ice Cream.”  The song draws inspiration from Raekwon’s song of the same name from his 1995 album, Only Built 4 Cubin Linx. “Ice Cream” features production from Kenny Beats and includes a music video of Gibbs and Ross taking an ice cream truck for a joy ride.

A$AP ANT featuring A$AP Rocky - “The God Hour”

BREAKING: A$AP Mob is BACK!  Well, some of them at least on this track by Ant that sees him linking up with Rocky and their crew as they take over the streets of Baltimore. The song is accompanied by a music video with some pretty trippy psychedelic elements. “The God Hour” is the first single off Ant’s debut album From Me 2 U, which will feature Curren$y, Larry June, ASAP Twelvyy and Ant’s entire camp from Marino Infantry — the brand he created and has been growing for 15 years.

Lil Tjay - “In My Head”

Shawty’s like a melody in Tjay’s head as he drops his latest track “In My Head,” which features  a sample from Iyaz’s 2009 hit “Replay.” Tjay provides us with melodic drill vibes as he talks about the feelings he has for the woman in his life, with a music video (that features Rubi Rose!) that depicts him going through his memories to piece together a night gone bad. The anticipation for this track has been high with Lil Tjay’s TikTok teasers reaching over 64 million views combined prior to its release.
