Chennedy Carter’s time with the Las Vegas Aces is at its end.

The team waived the 27-year-old guard on Tuesday with Justine Pissott signed in a corresponding move.

Carter was in her first season with the team. The Texas A&M product appeared in 13 games, averaging 12.2 points on .600 shooting, 1.8 boards and 1.3 assists over 16.9 minutes a night.

A native of Fort Worth, TX, Carter did not play in the WNBA in 2025 after a breakout 2024 season with the Chicago Sky in which she finished fourth in Most Improved Player voting. Carter averaged a career-high 17.5 points that season. Carter spent 2025 in China.

A native of Mansfield, TX, Carter was originally taken with the fourth overall selection of the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream. She spent two seasons with the team and was runner-up for Rookie of the Year in 2020. During her sophomore campaign, Carter was benched by the team after expressing a desire to fight a teammate and then traded in the offseason to the Los Angeles Sparks. Her Sparks tenure last for the 2023 season where she also found herself benched for conduct detrimental to the team.

Carter did not play in the league during 2024 before joining the Sky last season.

Pissott, 22, was a second-round pick of the Indiana Fever this past April out of Vanderbilt.
