Report: Dream acquires Reese from Sky for two firsts

Angel Reese is headed south.

ESPN’s Kendra Andrews reports the Atlanta Dream has acquired the two-time All-Star in a trade with the Chicago Sky. Going the other way are firsts in 2027 and 2028.

The deal also includes a second-round pick swap in 2028.

The 23-year-old Reese confirmed the deal on social media.

A native of Randallstown, MD, Reese is headed into her third WNBA season out of LSU. She appeared in 30 games for the Sky in 2025, averaging 14.7 points on .458 shooting, 12.6 boards and 3.7 assists over 31.6 minutes a night.

Originally taken with the seventh overall selection of the 2024 WNBA Draft, Reese has appeared in 64 games over two seasons.

Internationally, Reese was a member of the United States team that won silver at the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup. She was recently named to the U.S. squad set to enter the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament.
