The Toronto Tempo will match up with the league-worst Connecticut Sun for the second time in just over a week, Friday night on TSN.

Watch the Tempo take on the Sun LIVE at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT on TSN2.

Both teams will try to snap losing streaks: Connecticut will aim to end a six-game skid and win for the first time since May 30, while Toronto will try to snap a three-game slide.

The Tempo’s last win came against the Sun nine days ago, but the team will be short-handed this time around.

Star guard Brittney Sykes suffered a plantar fascia injury on Tuesday and will be out for the coming weeks. Sykes was hurt in a non-contact injury and was the league’s third-leading scorer, averaging 20.7 points a game.

Rookie guard Kiki Rice also remains out with an ankle injury, while big Nyara Sabally is listed as questionable after missing the previous three games with a right hamstring injury.

If Sabally is unable to play, the Tempo will only have nine players available for the contest, barring any last-second roster moves.

Leading the way for Toronto will be Marina Mabrey, who is averaging 17.9 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds. The 29-year-old guard finished with 21 points in the team’s recent overtime win against the Sun.

As for the Sun, they’ll be in search of just their third win of the campaign, sporting a league-worst 2-14 record coming into Friday’s contest.

Forward Aneesah Morrow leads the team in points (11.9) and rebounds (10.4).
